Do you search the net for info on Presidential candidates, or use the tv media to better understand them?
It seems that I keep hearing alot of comments about politicians that sound similar to the sound bites from the media and opposing candidates. I wonder if Americans are too lazy to gather, and more importantly colaborate the factual information relative to building a profile. I feel it is important to educate ourselves on the issues. But also to understand from a candidates background, what their real stance is on various issues. Haven't we been fooled enough? Don't we owe it to our kids to really know our candidates so we can make an educated endorsement? Let's do everything we can to ignore the advertising and the media's talking heads and dig in and find out for ourselves on an individual level. If more of us do this, we will know what to expect from whomever we elect. At least then, I could live with the results. But if we elect someone because they say what we want to hear and then do something different, we will continue to go backwards.
