Birthdaygift for a good friend? (Girl).?

Heya. One of my good friends birthday is coming up, and I simply have no idea what she wants or would like as a gift. She is not my girlfriend, and she hasn't said anything about what she would like, so it's a bit hard - looking for a "overall" item that most girls would like. Thinking of a necklase, bracelet, something like that - would that work for most girls?
