Intimidated by a bullying co-worker. How can I fight that?
You're next step needs to take into consideration 1 thing. Is this gonna cause an axe to fall on you within days OR is that a bit of an overestimation? In a situation where a person is made to feel uncomfortable, by anyone in their environment, this is an environment of HARMENT. ually or not. that can be defined many different ways, but the bottom line is: YOU DO NOT NEED TO ACCEPT ANY KIND OF INTERACTION FROM ANYONE WHICH CREATES FOR YOU AN UNCOMFORTABLE WORKING ENVIRONMENT!!! Do you have a Human Resources Department? If you do not feel that this person can be approached, you need to take a walk to HR, ask to speak to 1 the manager or 2. Your ual Harment Ombudsmen (dumb word, i know). They are required by lots of law to step in and correct this situation, including making sure no retribution is taken on you after-wards. Should they fail to do this, and i suggest you starting specifically doenting the occasion of things happening that upset you....maybe even using other employees as witness, you need to get an attorney appointed by government, paid NOT BY YOU, to begin proceedings. this is big time no no....and I swear when your case has been made and confirmed, all kinds of help will run to your aid....and totally destroy any 'good hope' between you and the organization. You have the right to work in a harment free workplace.
