Why do people believe in god?

People believe in god because they need something to believe in. Their mind is afraid of dieing alone and forgotten. Its a comfort when you feel like you have someone always watching over you and taking care of you. As an Atheist I wouldn't have a problem with people believing in god if it weren't for all the losers and people who use their religion as an excuse to be lazy. And then they want to try and push their propaganda onto us non believers.
