Windows media player, how does it work for video and sound at the same time?

Expert advice needed on the new version no. 11 microsoft media player. I find it difficult to click haphazardly and try to learn it --successfully. so I need step by step instructions how to include a music piece (.wav) and some of my photos on the background as it plays and copy the whole thing to my --folders for keep. Yes, I did see some photos opening up and closing and with no control from my part on which photo/s is opening up, how to control lights, hue, timing etc. -- could an expert either give me step by step instructions or lead me to a link (web site) where the explanations are easy to understand and can be duplicated. thanks in advance. Ps. (microsoft help site are written for professionals not the layman!)
